I love to work on site-specific projects for public spaces; they are complex creative processes that demand teamwork and social interaction.
Each project necessitates an individual design solution. The concept, materials and form are chosen to suit the unique nature and needs of the site and enhance it through a harmonious and integrated relationship
with art.
My starting point for each project is to tap into the unique energy of the environment and explore how art can enhance it. A successful project utilizes the ear as much as the eye. Interaction during the design process with the people who own and use the site is essential; ultimately the work is for them.
The works I design are emotionally layered and create a new and deeper sense of meaning of the site. This ranges from playful to contemplative.
